Welcome to livelyfish

livelyfish was created as a simple way to meet with other people at events in your local area.

Completely free and supported entirely by volunteers, there is no official membership or any fees applicable or anything like that – it’s all really, really simple.

livelyfish is all about people enjoying themselves with others – some they know & some they don’t (yet).

It’s just a great way to get out and about doing the things you like to do with other people. For people that are new to the area it’s also a brilliant way to meet people.

Importantly with livelyfish you don’t have to go out alone – livelyfish works by making it easy for groups of people to get together with others at events in their local area. People are able to go out as part of the livelyfish crowd – confident there will be someone there that they know.

New look for livelyfish

We’ve been working hard to give livelyfish a new look. The content is all much the same – but presented with a different look and feel. Importantly we are changing the technology behind this website to make it easier for us to maintain.

In making this change it is inevitable that we’ve created some errors that we don’t know about. If you find something that is not working please let is know about it HERE

Events

livelyfish operates mainly by people telling us about events they are going to (or would like to go to) and covers a wide range of events in a broad area.

Current Events

Events are listed at Events in reverse cronological order i.e. the most recently added event is listed at the top ahead of previously posted events. We list events approximately 7 days before the event.

In Coming Up events are listed in cronological order (i.e. the next event to occur is listed at the top ahead of other events) and shows events for approximately the next 7 days. Events that are further ahead are shown in Future Events.

Regular Weekly Events

Due to the increasing number of events listed on livelyfish each week we no longer list all Regular Weekly Events as separate individual events. Instead we provide the following table which lists all Regular Weekly Events and provides direct links to a full listing of each event at Regular Events.

Host an Event

Everyone and anyone is very welcome to use livelyfish to host events that interest them – in fact many people, organisations and other groups are already doing just that.

The range of events is only limited by people’s imagination and their willingness to act as a host for the event. Our only requirements are that the event is primarily about people enjoying themselves with others, likely to be interesting to people using livelyfish & meets a MA+15 classification.

It’s very simple – just send us an email at thefish@exemail.com.au with the basic info for the event and we’ll look at adding your event to the website.
