Welcome to livelyfish

livelyfish was created as a simple way to meet with other people at events in your local area. It’s a great way to get out and about doing the things you like to do with other people. For people that are new to the area it’s also a brilliant way to meet people.

Completely free and supported mostly by volunteers, there is no official membership or any fees applicable or anything like that – it’s all really, really simple.

livelyfish works by making it easy for groups of people to get together with others at events in their local area. People are able to go out as part of the livelyfish crowd – confident there will be someone there that they know.

We are all about people enjoying themselves with others – some they know & some they don’t (yet).

Events

We have a reputation for listing many of the best events in our local area each and every week.

livelyfish operates mainly by people telling us about events they are going to (or would like to go to). Through this we are able to tap into a wealth of local knowledge and cover a wide range of events in a broad area.

We try to provide a range of events covering a wide range of people’s interests – dancing for dancers, walks for walkers and parties for party animals.

livelyfish is not only for singles (though they have shown most interest so far) – couples and families are also welcome to use livelyfish to meet others with similar interests at events in their local area. Many of the events are a mixture of single people and couples.

Current Events

Events are listed as they are added at Events in cronological order (i.e. the next event to occur is listed at the top ahead of other events) and shows events for approximately the next 7 days. Events that are further ahead that you may need to know about early are shown in Future Events.

I addition to the above events there are a large number of regular events which are held every week and listed in detail at Regular Events.

Due to the increasing number of events listed on livelyfish each week we no longer list all Regular Weekly Events as separate individual events.

Host an Event

Everyone and anyone is very welcome to use livelyfish to host events that interest them – in fact many people, organisations and other groups are already doing just that.

The range of events is only limited by people’s imagination and their willingness to act as a host for the event.

Our only requirements are that the event is primarily about people enjoying themselves with others, likely to be interesting to people using livelyfish & meets a MA+15 classification.

It’s very simple – just send us an email at thefish@livelyfish.com with the basic info for the event and we’ll look at adding your event to the website.
